DOC BROCK GAMES DEVELOPER'S BLOG
Meet Omega

I have found that if you are going to fight, it is always better to be fighting for something. Fighting for technical reasons can be fun, but I find that I progress much faster if there is an overreaching goal in mind that is more than just skill. The characters in my new fighting game, Future Fighter (TM), all have this dual drive, and Omega (pictured above) most certainly does. After all, his fighting style and philosophies are based on my own. As the blog progresses, I will describe these features each in turn. Today, I'd like to start with a look at Omega from 60,000 feet.
Being a smaller framed individual, Omega cannot rely on power to defeat his opponents. Instead, he must rely on speed, technique, and smarts. One big advantage that he has in deploying this strategy is reach. This allows him to be in striking range when his opponent is not.
With this in mind you may have guessed that the base of Omega's fighting is striking, and seeing the full image of Omega you probably can guess where he derives his supporting abilities in this futuristic universe:
Omega's suit provides both maximum protection and flexibility of movement. The visor contains laser technology, which he uses at a distance weapon as well as for ground attacks and antiair.
I will post concept renderings and videos of these attributes, Omega's striking techniques, and more as they are being developed. Follow me to get all of the updates and watch the character unfold on social media, RSS, and email.
The images above are that of Omega -- the lead character in the new fighting game by Doc Brock Games called Future Fighter (TM). What do your friends think of this sci-fi fighter? Let's share this post and find out:
